GERMANY BUSINESS VISA Mandatory Documents:
Passport: The passport should have been issued within the last 10 years and should be valid for at least 3 months after the scheduled return. Passports with observations regarding the front data page cannot be accepted. It should also have minimum 2 empty pages. 2 sets of A4 size copies of passport’s data page are needed.
Photographs: 2 photographs, not older than 6 months, with white background. It should be a 70-80% face close up and 35mm x 45mm in size.
Application Form: Visa Application Form should be duly filled and signed.
Covering Letter: : A covering letter from the Indian company with entire travel plan, applicant’s name and passport no, expenses by whom etc. It should be addressed to ‘The Visa Officer’
Proof of Civil Status: Marriage certificate, birth certificate of children, death certificate of spouse and ration card if applicable.
Insurance: Original medical travel insurance for the stay duration with EUR 30,000 or USD 50,000 coverage.
Accommodation: Proof of accommodation for the applicant’s entire stay in Germany.

Documents for Employed Individuals:
ITR form for the last 3 years
Applicant’s personal and company’s bank statements for 3 months
Copy of company’s incorporation certificate.
NOC i.e. No-Objection Certificate and a leave letter from the applicant’s company.
Documents for Self-Employed/Businessmen:
Copy of company’s trade license and partnership deed.
Documents from Inviter
An invitation letter from the business partner in Germany in English or German language for consultancy services. A confirmation letter from the German client is essential too along with detailed schedule of the applicant’s business meetings (only for stays over 30 days). The letter should be addressed to ‘The Visa Officer’
GERMANY VISIT VISA Mandatory Documents:
Passport: The passport should be valid for more than 6 months entering Germany. Old passport, if any, should be submitted. If the old passport is misplaced or damaged, same should be mentioned in the covering letter.
Photographs : 2 glossy-finished photographs with white background. It should be a 70-80% face close up and 35mm x 45mm in size.
Application Form: Visa Application Form should be duly filled and signed.
Covering letter : A covering letter from the applicant addressing ‘The Visa Officer’. It should also contain complete address and contact number of the applicant. For self-employed/businessmen, the letter should be on plain paper and for employed individuals it should be on company’s letterhead.
No-Objection Letter: A no-objection letter from husband in case of ladies, parents in case of minor children travelling alone. (Signature proof such as passport copy, pan card and driving license for them is required). If the husband or parents are not alive, death certificate is required (for minors NOC needs to be notarised).
Insurance: Overseas Mediclaim Policy covering the period of stay. Its validity must start from the date of departure, from India or before that and end on the date of arrival to India, or after that.

Documents for Self-Employed/Businessmen:
Registration Proof or Partnership Deed or MOA of the Company.
Company’s bank statement for the last 3 months. It should be original with bank seal and sign on all pages and should be with good credit balance.
Income tax papers of the company for the last 3 months.
Documents from Inviter:
Invitation letters from the inviter, one addressing the Consulate and the other addressing the applicant with complete Germany address and contact number .
Passport and Germany visa copy of Inviter.
Employment proof of Inviter i.e. job confirmation letter and salary slips for 3 months
Bank statement for 6 month .
Income tax papers of inviter for 3 months
Tenant proof of Inviter .
Verpflichtungserklärung i.e. formal invitation letter from sponsoring inviter.
GERMANY TOURIST VISA Mandatory Documents:
Passport: A valid passport that is issued within the last 10 years and has a validity of at least 3 months after the scheduled return. It should have minimum 2 blank pages. The passports which have observations regarding the front data page cannot be accepted.
Photographs: 2 recent matt-finished photographs with white background. It should be an 80% face close up and 35mm x 45mm in size.
Application Form: Visa Application Form should be duly filled and signed.
Covering letter: A covering letter from the applicant stating his/her name, designation, passport no., purpose of visit, accommodation and expenses incurred during the trip. For self-employed/businessmen, the letter should be on plain paper and for employed individuals it should be on company’s letterhead. The letter should be addressed to ‘The Consulate General of Germany’.
Insurance: Original medical travel insurance for the stay duration with EUR 30,000 or USD 50,000 coverage.

Memorandum of Association or Partnership Deed or GST Certificate or Shop Establishment and New Paper Cutting or Trader ID or Commission Proof in case of freelancers.
Note: All documents are mandatory as per this above list. Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete applications result in visa refusal and delays in processing by the embassy consulate. The Embassy may ask for additional documents/personal presence while processing the Visa application/s. In certain cases embassy/consulate may take more processing time.
