FRANCE BUSINESS VISA Mandatory Documents:

  • Passport: Original Passport that is valid for at least 3 months and has minimum 2 blank pages. Passports issued beyond 10 years and handwritten passports will not be accepted. Old passports, if any, need to be submitted.

  • Photographs: 4 glossy-finished, coloured photographs with white background and without any border. It should be an 80% face close up and 35mm x 45mm in size. The photos should not be older than 3 months; should not be scanned or stapled; and should not have been used in any of the previous Visas.

  • Application Form: Filled and signed Visa Application Form.

  • Covering letter: An original covering letter from the company on its letterhead, stating the applicant’s name, designation, passport no. and with the signatory of managerial or executive level. It should also provide brief sketch of applicant’s itinerary, name, address and email of the company to be visited. The letter should be addressed to ‘The Consulate General of France.

  • Insurance: Copy of medical travel insurance covering the stay amounting to EUR 30,000. It should be from an authorised insurance company.

  • Accommodation: Confirmed hotel reservation with payment transaction.

  • Confirmed Air Ticket.

  • Covid Vaccination Certificate with 2 completed doses

Documents for Employed Individuals:

  • Personal and Company’s ITR for last 3 years

  • Original personal bank statement for last 3 months with bank stamp & sign on each page

  • Salary slips for the last 3 months.

Documents for Self-Employed/Businessmen:

  • Personal and Company’s ITR for last 3 years

  • Original personal bank statement for last 3 months with bank stamp & sign on each page

  • Company’s Registration Certificate or Certificate of Incorporation

  • Brief Company Profile

  • Articles of Memorandum (in case the applicant is MD/Director)

  • Proof of Proprietorship/Partnership (In case applicant is Proprietor/Partner in a firm)

Documents from Inviter:

  • Copy of invitation letter from the French host stating the applicant’s name, designation, passport no., purpose and duration of stay. It should be duly signed with signatory’s name and designation and company stamp/seal. The letter should be addressed to ‘The Consulate General of France.

FRANCE VISIT VISA Mandatory Documents:

  • Passport: Original Passport that is valid for more than 6 month while entering France. Old passports, if any, need to be submitted. In case of misplacement or damage of old passport same need to be mentioned in covering letter.

  • Photographs: 2 glossy-finished photographs with white background. It should be an 80% face close up and 35mm x 45mm in size.

  • Application Form: Filled and signed Visa Application Form.

  • Covering letter : A covering letter from the applicant mentioning their complete address and their contact number. For self-employed/businessmen, the letter should be on plain paper and for employed individuals it should be on company’s letterhead. The letter should be addressed to ‘The Visa Officer’.

  • No-Objection Letter: A no-objection letter from husband in case of ladies, parents in case of minor children travelling alone. (Signature proof such as passport copy, pan card and driving license for them is required). If husband or parents are not alive, death certificate is required (for minors NOC needs to be notarized).

  • Insurance: Overseas Medical Insurance that is valid for Schengen countries with minimum coverage of EUR 30,000.

  • Confirmed Air Tickets

  • Covid Vaccination Certificate with 2 completed doses

Documents for Employed Individuals:

  • Salary Slip for 3 months

  • Job Confirmation with Leave Approval Letter

Documents for Self-Employed/Businessmen:

  • Registration proof or Partnership Deed or MOA of the Company

  • Bank statement of the Company for the last 3 months. It must be original with bank seal and sign on each page, and with good credit balance.

  • Personal Income tax papers of Company for the last 3 months.

Documents from Inviter:

  • 2 invitation letters from the inviter, one addressing the consulate and another addressing the applicant with complete their France address and contact number along with a copy of passport and France Visa the Inviter. Also needed, tenant proof of Inviter, attestation d’ accrual - (formal invitation letter from sponsoring Inviter) Attestation d’accueil (proof of accommodation) is a formal declaration by an Inviter (from France) who wants to accommodate a person applying for a France visa. Inviter can obtain this at the Town hall of their residence, by submitting the necessary documents such as ID proof, resident proof of the inviter and passport copy of the inviter.

FRANCE TOURIST VISA Mandatory Documents:

  • Passport: Original Passport that is valid for at least 6 months and has minimum 2 blank pages. Passports issued beyond 10 years and handwritten passports will not be accepted.

  • Photographs: 2 semi-matt or matt-finished colored photographs with white background and without any border. It should be a 60-80% face close up and 35mm x 45mm in size. The photos should not be older than 3 months; should not be scanned or stapled; and should not have been used in any of the previous Visas.

  • Application Form: Filled and signed Visa Application Form.

  • Consent Form: A consent form duly filled and signed by the applicant.

  • Covering letter: A covering letter from the applicant stating their name, designation, passport no. purpose and duration of visit in brief. It should be duly signed by an authorized signatory with company’s stamp. For self-employed/businessmen, the letter should be on plain paper and for employed individuals it should be on company’s letterhead. The letter should be addressed to ‘The Consulate General of France'

  • Insurance: Original medical travel insurance for the stay duration with EUR 30,000 coverage. It should be from an authorized insurance company.

  • Accommodation: Confirmed hotel reservation with payment transaction.

Note: All documents are mandatory as per this above list. Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete applications result in visa refusal and delays in processing by the embassy consulate. The Embassy may ask for additional documents/personal presence while processing the Visa application/s. In certain cases embassy/consulate may take more processing time.
