1. Passport: Original Passport with the validity of six months from intended date of return and minimum two blank pages for visa stamping. Attach all your old passports (if any).

2. China Visa Application Form to be duly filled and signed by the applicant.

3. Photographs: Two recent passport size colour photographs with matt or semi matt finish, 80% face coverage, white background and without border (Size: 35mm x 45mm) 

4. Covering Letter from applicant mentioning his name, designation, passport number, purpose and duration of visit in brief. Letter issued date should be latest and mentioned on the top. The letter should be duly signed by the applicant and should be addressed to the Consulate general of the people’s republic of China, Mumbai.  Note : Covering-Letter on Letterhead with company seal if applicant is Self Employed or on plain paper if Employed.

5. Financials: Personal Bank Statement for last six months with original Bank seal and signature of authorized signatory on each page.

6. Hotel Confirmation: Hotel Confirmation including the name of the hotel, address, phone numbers and hotel booking code.

7. Confirmed Air Ticket

8. Proof of Occupation for employed: An NOC from the employer in original.

9. Travel Insurance: Travel Insurance covering the duration of the stay in China.

10. Vaccination certificate copy with Passport number

5. Invitation letter from inviting company with their company seal on it  and it should be addressed to “ Consulate general of the People's republic of China, Mumbai '

6. Licence of an Invitee company: Valid Licence copy of an invitee company is mandatory.

7. Hotel Confirmation: Hotel Confirmation including the name of the hotel, address, phone numbers and hotel booking code.

8. Confirmed Air Ticket

9. Travel Insurance: Travel Insurance covering the duration of the stay in China.

10. Vaccination certificate copy with Passport number

Financial Documents:

1. Salary slips for the last 3 months

2. Copy of Company’s Registration

3. Personal & Company’s IT Returns or form 16A for the last 3 years

4. Personal & Company’s updated bank statements for the last 6 months. It should be original, signed & stamped by the bank.

Applicants who wish to visit their relatives who are in China due to work or study OR applicants wish to apply as Dependent need to apply for S1 or S2 category.

4. Covering Letter from applicant mentioning his name, designation, passport number, purpose and duration of visit in brief. Letter issued date should be latest and mentioned on the top. The letter should be duly signed by the applicant and should be addressed to – The Visa Officer, consulate General of China, Mumbai. Note : Covering-Letter on Letterhead with company seal if applicant is Self Employed or on plain paper if Employed. 

5. Invitation letter from relative staying in China due to work or study. Invitation letter should be addressed To, The Visa Officer, Consulate general Of China, Mumbai/ Consulate General of People’s Republic of China, Mumbai. Mentioning inviter’s details such as address, contact details, relationship etc. i)  Invitee’s passport copies; first and last page.

6. Relative’s Chinese status (Chinese Visa) copy. 

7. Kinship certificate: Relationship certificate which may include Birth certificate, Marriage certificate etc.

8. Valid Indian status: (Indian visa) copy and original in case of foreign nationals.

9. Vaccination certificate copy with Passport number

5. Covering Letter from the company on its letter head stating the applicant's designation in the organization, passport number, purpose of visit and duration of stay. The letter should be addressed to – The Visa Officer, Embassy of China, New Delhi. Letter should be duly signed by an authorised signatory with his name, designation and company seal.

6. Invitation Letter from Chinese company on its letter head stating applicant's name, passport number, purpose & duration of visit. The letter should be duly signed by the authorize signatory and has to be addressed to - The Visa Officer, consulate General of China,Mumbai.

7. Original Visa Notification letter from relevant authorities in China.

8. Original Alien License/ Foreign Expert Certificate issued from relevant authority in China.

9. Certificates: Photocopy of applicants educational and professional qualifications.
