1. Valid Passport. The passport must have left validity of at least six months and more with at least three or more unused pages. Recently taken photo in JPG format not bigger than 30Kb in size

3. Hotel Confirmation: Hotel Confirmation including the name of the hotel, address, phone numbers and hotel booking code

4. Travel Insurance: Travel Insurance covering the duration of the stay in Botswana

5. Vaccination certificate copy with Passport number

FOR VISITORS: 

1. Invitation letter from the host.

2. Certified copies of marriage/Birth Certificate for spouse and dependents.

3. Certified copies of host National Identity Card/ Residence and Work permit/ Exemption Certificate. Certified copies of Ordination Certificates from Religious Leaders if invited by a church.

4. Return VISA or Residence permit from country of residence.

5. For unaccompanied minors (less than 18 years), travelling without biological parents, consent letter from both parents is required.

FOR BUSINESS:

1. Business profile/Invitation letter from the host or facilitator in Botswana.

2. Meeting schedule (If coming to attend or organize a meeting).

3. Certified copies of trade license, certificate of incorporation, share certificate of host if operating a business.

FOR EMPLOYMENT:

1. Work and residence permits/approval letter.

2. No payment (gratis) letter.

FOR TRANSIT:

1. Return Visa or proof of Residence and Visa from destination country

2. Companies/Individual letter

1. Passport: Original Passport with validity of minimum six months and minimum two blank page for visa stamp. Please Note:

• Duly Attested copy of Passport's First and Last Pages on A4 size paper by Gazetted Officer.

• Attach all your old passports (if any)

• If previously applied for visa please attach the copy of the Visa outcome.

• Handwritten passports will not be accepted.

2. Botswana Visa Application Form duly filled and signed.

3. Photo Specification: Two recent passport size photographs with matt or semi matt finish, 60%-80% face coverage, white background and without border (Size: 35mm x 45mm). Note: Photograph should not be more than 3 months old, scanned/stapled and should not be used in any of the previous visas

4. Confirmed Air Ticket

5. Covering Letter from applicant on business letter head mentioning name, designation, passport number, purpose and duration of visit in brief. The letter should be duly signed by authorized signatory with company stamp and addressed to – The Visa Officer, High Commission of the Republic of Botswana, New Delhi. Note: Covering-Letter on Letterhead if applicant is Self Employed or on plain paper if Employed.

6. Tour Itinerary: Tour Plan or copy of Travel Schedule

7. Hotel Confirmation: Hotel Confirmation including the name of the hotel, address, phone numbers and hotel booking code.

8. Travel Insurance: Travel Insurance covering the duration of the stay in Botswana.

9. Vaccination certificate copy with Passport number

Financials:

1. Personal Bank Statement for last 3 months.

2. Credit Card copy/Foreign Exchange endorsement endorsed on Passport.

10. Invitation Letter: Original Invitation Letter from Botswana host / inviting Company on its letter head stating the purpose of travel and duration of stay and should be duly signed with signatory’s name, designation and Sponsor ID Copy along with the following documents.

• Attested copy of Host National Identity, Work permit, Residence permit, Exemption Certificate, Naturalization Certificate.

• Attested copies of Trade License, Certificate of Incorporation, Share Certificate of Host

Please Note:

• The attestation has to be done either by Botswana Immigration or by Botswana Police Department.

• Invitee's ID copy has to be notarized from local notary department in Botswana.

Financials 

1. Personal Bank Statement for last 03 months. 

2. Proof of Funds(International credit card photocopy/endorsement of US$ on the passport)

1. Certificate of incorporation, Business profile, Trading license, Schedule of meetings, Bank statement. Please note: Labour Exemption Certificate is required if going to Botswana for a month or more

10. Employment Contract: Letter of confirmation of Employment / contract of Employment or offer letter.

11. Work / Residence Permit: Waiver from department of labour and social security or copies of Work and Residence Permit.

12. Educational Documents: Certified copies of relevant qualifications

If visiting family/friends/relative the following documents are required: 

1. Invitation Letter from the host (Please note: It should be clearly mentioned in the invitation letter that the host is employed or self-employed) 

2. Certified copy of Host National Identity, Work permit, Residence permit, Exemption Certificate, Naturalization Certificate. 

3. Sworn statement by the host signed at the immigration service point, Copy of Omang /Residence permit and Financial proof of support.

4. Certified copy of Marriage and Birth Certificate (in case of Married couples / dependents) 

5. Certified copy of Ordination Certificate for Religious Leaders 

6. Business profile- if coming to establish a business (Host) 

7. Return visa or Residence Permit from the country of residence

8. Certified copies of Trade License, Certificate of Incorporation, Share Certificate of Host if the host is running a business in Botswana.
